Density of states of the interacting two-dimensional electron gas
E. Kogan, B. Rosenstein

TL;DR
This paper investigates how electron-electron interactions affect the density of states in a clean 2D electron gas, confirming a linear cusp near the Fermi level and a crossover to logarithmic behavior farther away.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of the DOS behavior in 2D electron gases, confirming previous findings and describing the crossover in the DOS dependence.
Findings
Confirmed linear cusp in DOS around Fermi level
Identified crossover to logarithmic dependence away from Fermi level
Enhanced understanding of interaction effects in 2D electron systems
Abstract
We study the influence of electron-electron interactions on the density of states (DOS) of clean 2D electron gas. We confirm the linear cusp in the DOS around the Fermi level, which was obtained previously. The cusp crosses over to a pure logarithmic dependence further away from the Fermi surface.
