Vortex dynamics in dilute two dimensional Josephson junction arrays
Md. Ashrafuzzaman, Hans Beck

TL;DR
This paper studies vortex behavior in a dilute 2D Josephson junction array, analyzing how missing islands affect vortex mobility and the array's electrical properties using the multiple trapping model.
Contribution
It introduces the application of the multiple trapping model to analyze vortex dynamics in dilute Josephson junction arrays with missing islands.
Findings
Vortex mobility is significantly affected by the dilution level.
Frequency dependence of resistance and inductance is characterized.
The model provides insights into vortex trapping and untrapping mechanisms.
Abstract
We have investigated the dynamics of vortices in a dilute two dimensional Josephson junction array where a fraction of the superconducting islands is missing. We have used the multiple trapping model to calculate the mobility of vortices and the frequency dependence of the resistance and inductance of the array.
