TL;DR
This study investigates how adding a fourth element to Ni-Mn-Ga alloys affects their Curie temperature, revealing that certain substitutions can increase or decrease $T_C$ significantly.
Contribution
It provides new insights into tuning the Curie temperature of Ni-Mn-Ga alloys through specific elemental substitutions.
Findings
Ni substitution with Fe or Co increases $T_C$
Mn substitution with V decreases $T_C$
Ga substitution with In decreases $T_C$
Abstract
We have studied the influence of alloying with a fourth element on the temperature of ferromagnetic ordering in Ni-Mn-Ga Heusler alloys. It is found that increases or decreases, depending on the substitution. The increase of is observed when Ni is substituted by either Fe or Co. On the contrary, the substitution of Mn for V or Ga for In strongly reduces .
