TL;DR
This paper validates the composite fermion theory's accuracy in describing the low energy states of strongly correlated electrons near filling factor 1/3, through extensive comparison with exact results.
Contribution
It provides extensive validation of the composite fermion theory's predictions in the filling factor range just above 1/3, confirming its qualitative and quantitative accuracy.
Findings
Composite fermion theory correctly describes the low energy Hilbert space reorganizations.
Eigenenergies predicted by the theory match exact results within 0.1%.
The theory's validity is established in the specified filling factor range.
Abstract
We present extensive comparisons of the composite fermion theory with exact results in the filling factor range , which affirm that the composite fermion theory correctly describes the qualitative reorganization of the low energy Hilbert space of the strongly correlated electrons, and predicts eigenenergies with an accuracy of %. These facts establish the basic validity of the composite fermion description in this filling factor region.
