Wave Propagation in Generalized Gyrotropic Media
Jian Qi Shen

TL;DR
This paper explores wave propagation in generalized gyrotropic media, revealing coupling between circular polarizations, which could have potential applications in quantum information processing.
Contribution
It introduces the concept of coupled circular polarizations in generalized gyrotropic media, expanding understanding of wave behavior in such complex materials.
Findings
Left- and right-handed circular polarizations can couple in these media
Potential applications in quantum information are identified
The study broadens the theoretical framework of wave propagation in gyrotropic materials
Abstract
Wave propagation inside generalized gyrotropic media is considered in the present Letter. It is shown that in this type of materials, the left- and right- handed circularly polarized light can be coupled to each other, which may possess some potential applications to quantum information.
