Quasiparticles in quantum Hall effect: Smet's fractional charge
Keshav N. Shrivastava

TL;DR
This paper presents a new formula predicting fractional charges of quasiparticles in the quantum Hall effect, aligning well with experimental observations and revealing a relationship between spin and charge.
Contribution
The paper introduces a novel formula that accurately predicts fractional charges and uncovers a link between spin and charge of quasiparticles in the quantum Hall effect.
Findings
The formula predicts fractional charges consistent with experimental data.
A relationship between spin and charge of quasiparticles is established.
The approach resolves discrepancies in previous models.
Abstract
It has been pointed out by Smet that there are fractional-charge values which do not fit with their formula of composite fermions. We find that our formula predicts these fractional charges very well and in fact there exists a relationship between spin and charge of a quasiparticle.
