P. Chandra, P. Coleman, J.A. Mydosh, V. Tripathi

TL;DR
This paper reviews evidence supporting phase inhomogeneity in URu_2Si_2, where hidden order coexists with antiferromagnetic domains that grow with pressure, impacting the understanding of its hidden order phase.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive review of phase separation in URu_2Si_2 and discusses its implications for the nature of the hidden order.
Findings
Hidden order coexists with antiferromagnetic domains.
Pressure increases the volume fraction of antiferromagnetic regions.
Implications for the hidden order's nature are discussed.
Abstract
Motivated by experiment, we review the case for phase inhomogeneity in URu_2Si_2. In this scenario, the paramagnetic hidden order phase coexists with small distinct domains of antiferromagnetism whose volume fraction increases with pressure. The implications for the nature of the hidden order are discu ssed.
