Comment on "Stability of Small Carbon-Nitride Heterofullerenes"
Guangyu Sun, Rui-Hua Xie, Mark C. Nicklaus

TL;DR
This paper emphasizes the need for comprehensive investigations to accurately determine the stability of small carbon-nitride heterofullerenes, critiquing prior work and calling for more systematic studies.
Contribution
It highlights the importance of systematic analysis in identifying the most stable structures of carbon-nitride fullerenes, challenging previous conclusions.
Findings
Prior studies may lack systematic rigor
More detailed investigations are necessary
Stability conclusions are currently uncertain
Abstract
We comment on a recent paper [D. Schultz et al, Phys. REv. Lett. 90, 015501 (2003)]. We argue that a highly systematical investigation is needed to determine the most stable structures of both pristine and N-substituted fullerenes.
