TL;DR
This paper investigates the structure, magnetic, and electrical properties of a novel La0.9Te0.1MnO3 perovskite oxide, revealing spin-glass behavior and significant magnetoresistance, with Te in a 4+ oxidation state and mixed Mn valences.
Contribution
It reports the synthesis and characterization of a new La0.9Te0.1MnO3 material with unique magnetic and transport properties, including spin-glass features and colossal magnetoresistance.
Findings
Space group R-3c structure identified
Spin-glass-like behavior observed at low temperature
Magnetoresistance ratio of about 51% at 200 K
Abstract
In this study we report the structure, magnetic and electrical transport properties of pervoskite oxide La. This is a novel material with the space group R-3c, which shows the spin-glass-like feature at low temperature and has a good colossal magnetoresistance behavior. The magnetoresistance ratio is about 51% at 200 K in a field of 4 T. The XPS measurement suggests that Te ions are in the Te state, while Mn ions may be in the 2+ and 3+ valence state.
