M.E. Portnoi, K.V. Kavokin, V.M. Apalkov

TL;DR
This paper proposes using phonon absorption spectroscopy to investigate many-body gaps and phases in two-subband quantum Hall systems, considering the effects of spin-orbit interaction on phonon absorption.
Contribution
It introduces a novel spectroscopic approach to study complex quantum Hall systems and analyzes the influence of spin-orbit coupling on phonon interactions.
Findings
Phonon absorption can reveal many-body gaps.
Spin-orbit interaction affects phonon absorption spectra.
Method provides insights into quantum Hall phases.
Abstract
We propose to use phonon absorption spectroscopy to study many-body gaps and phases of two-subband heterostructures in the quantum Hall regime. Implications of the spin-orbit interaction for phonon absorption in this system are considered.
