TL;DR
This study uses electron-spin resonance to explore spin dynamics in (Gd_{1-x}Y_{x})_2PdSi_{3}, revealing temperature-dependent linewidth broadening and resonance field shifts linked to magnetic and electrical properties.
Contribution
It provides new insights into the spin dynamics and magnetic behavior of (Gd_{1-x}Y_{x})_2PdSi_{3} through ESR measurements and analysis of linewidth and resonance field variations.
Findings
Linewidth broadening begins near twice the Neel temperature.
Resonance field decreases at the same characteristic temperature.
High-temperature linewidth behavior shows a strong bottleneck effect.
Abstract
We report electron-spin resonance measurements in polycrystalline samples of (Gd_{1-x}Y_{x})_2PdSi_{3}. We observe the onset of a broadening of the linewidth and of a decrease of the resonance field at approximately twice the Neel temperature in the paramagnetic state, this characteristic temperature coincides with the electrical resistivity minimum. The high-temperature behaviour of the linewidth is governed by a strong bottleneck effect.
