TL;DR
This study investigates the elastic and dynamic properties of MgB2, including sound velocity, bulk modulus, Debye temperature, and vortex lattice dynamics, providing insights into its superconducting state.
Contribution
It presents new measurements of sound velocity and estimates of vortex lattice parameters in MgB2, linking elastic properties with superconducting vortex dynamics.
Findings
Measured sound velocity in MgB2 and calculated bulk modulus and Debye temperature.
Explored the conversion of elastic waves into electromagnetic radiation in the mixed state.
Estimated dynamic parameters of the vortex lattice.
Abstract
The sound velocity is measured in polycrystalline MgB2 synthesized from the elements, and the bulk modulus and the Debye temperature are calculated. The conversion of an elastic wave into electromagnetic radiation is investigated in the mixed state. The dynamic parameters of the vortex lattice are estimated. This paper was published in Low Temp.
