Ehud Reiter (University of Aberdeen, UK)

TL;DR
This paper provides a brief overview of natural-language generation (NLG) systems, highlighting their tasks and serving as an introductory resource for newcomers to the field.
Contribution
It offers a concise introduction to NLG tasks and aims to facilitate understanding among new collaborators, rather than presenting new research or methods.
Findings
NLG systems perform various language generation tasks.
The paper serves as an introductory overview for newcomers.
It is not focused on new research or technical contributions.
Abstract
This is a very short paper that briefly discusses some of the tasks that NLG systems perform. It is of no research interest, but I have occasionally found it useful as a way of introducing NLG to potential project collaborators who know nothing about the field.
