Age-Distance diagram for close-by young neutron stars
S.B. Popov (Sternberg Astronomical Institute, Universita di Padova)

TL;DR
This paper introduces an age-distance diagram for nearby young neutron stars, demonstrating its usefulness in studying source populations based on age and distance-dependent detectability.
Contribution
The paper presents a novel age-distance diagram specifically for young neutron stars, aiding in population studies considering detectability factors.
Findings
Diagram effectively visualizes neutron star populations.
Detectability depends strongly on age and distance.
Tool aids in planning future observations.
Abstract
An age--distance diagram for close-by young isolated neutron stars of different types is introduced and discussed. It is shown that such a diagram can be a useful tool for studying of populations of sources if their detectability strongly depends on age and distance.
