TL;DR
This paper outlines a framework for preventing kidney disease by aligning global health initiatives with actionable strategies like monitoring key health indicators.
Contribution
The paper introduces the ABCDE framework as a novel approach to kidney disease prevention, aligned with global health resolutions.
Findings
The WHO and UN have prioritized kidney health alongside major NCDs.
The ABCDE framework is proposed for early detection and treatment of CKD.
Cardiovascular disease mortality is decreasing, unlike CKD mortality.
Abstract
In 2025, the World Health Assembly of the World Health Organization (WHO) adopted a resolution on reducing the burden of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) by promoting kidney health and strengthening the prevention and control of kidney disease.
