Interparental conflict, not divorce, is linked to less positive marital attitudes among Chinese emerging adults
Honghong Xu, Yingjuan He

TL;DR
Chinese young adults who grew up in high-conflict families (without divorce) tend to have less positive views about marriage, linked to attachment issues.
Contribution
The study highlights interparental conflict, not divorce, as a key factor in shaping marital attitudes among Chinese emerging adults.
Findings
High interparental conflict (without divorce) is linked to less positive marital attitudes.
Attachment avoidance negatively correlates with positive marital attitudes.
Meaning in life positively correlates with marital attitudes but does not mediate or moderate other effects.
