TL;DR
This study analyzed sick leave patterns among healthcare workers in Kuwait in 2022, finding significant seasonal, demographic, and occupational variations.
Contribution
The study provides the first nationwide analysis of sick leave patterns among healthcare workers in Kuwait, identifying key predictors and seasonal trends.
Findings
53% of healthcare workers in Kuwait experienced at least one sick leave episode in 2022.
Younger age, female sex, and non-managerial roles were associated with higher sick leave utilization.
Influenza vaccination was linked to fewer sick leave episodes and shorter durations.
