Abstract
Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have become the standard first-line treatment for patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with high programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression. However, the optimal selection between immunotherapy monotherapy and chemo-immunotherapy in patients with a PD-L1 tumor proportion score (TPS) ≥ 50% remains uncertain in routine clinical practice.
