## TL;DR

This review discusses bone graft types and their use in dental surgery for repairing bone defects and restoring structure.

## Contribution

The paper provides an overview of autografts, allografts, and synthetic grafts in dentistry and their clinical applications.

## Key findings

- Bone grafts include autografts, allografts, and synthetic materials for bone repair.
- Graft healing requires integration with existing bone and careful surgical planning.
- Risks such as infection and rejection must be considered in graft application.

## Abstract

Bone grafts in dentistry, focusing on surgical techniques for bone repair and reconstruction is gaining momenture. There are 3 main
types: autografts derived from the patient, allografts obtained from donors and synthetic grafts composed of artificial materials. Bone
grafting is employed in treating fractures and bone defects and restoring structural integrity during orthopedic procedures. Thus, graft
healing through integration with existing bone while also considering risks such as infection and rejection are needed for careful surgical
planning.
