## TL;DR

This paper reports the genome sequence of a drug-resistant Enterobacter strain from Tokyo, Japan, which carries a new plasmid with multiple antibiotic resistance genes.

## Contribution

The discovery of a novel conjugative IncHI2 plasmid carrying blaIMP-6 in a carbapenem-resistant Enterobacter strain.

## Key findings

- The strain carries a novel IncHI2 plasmid with blaIMP-6 and other resistance genes.
- The plasmid also contains genes like blaCTX-M-9, blaSHV-12, and mcr-9.2.
- The isolate was identified as Enterobacter hormaechei ST133 from a clinical sample in Tokyo.

## Abstract

We report the complete genome sequence of a carbapenem-resistant Enterobacter hormaechei ST133 strain isolated from a clinical stool sample at a hospital in Tokyo, Japan, in 2022. This isolate harbors a novel conjugative IncHI2-pST1 plasmid carrying blaIMP-6. Additionally, this plasmid co-carries blaCTX-M-9, blaSHV-12, aac(6′)-IIc, sul1, aadA2, qnrA1, dfrA16, and mcr-9.2.
