## TL;DR

This paper provides draft genomes of eight soil microbes from Wellesley, MA, representing diverse bacterial groups.

## Contribution

The study contributes new draft genomes from underrepresented soil microbes in a specific geographic location.

## Key findings

- Eight draft genomes were generated from soil microbes in Wellesley, MA.
- The genomes represent diverse bacterial taxa including Pedobacter, Bacillus, and Streptomyces.

## Abstract

We present draft-quality genomes of eight cultured microbes isolated from two soil sites with different levels of leaf cover in Wellesley, MA. This dataset includes representatives of taxa including Pedobacter, Bacillus, Paenibacillus, Streptomyces, and Flavobacterium.

## Linked entities

- **Species:** Pedobacter (taxon 84567), Bacillus (taxon 1386), Paenibacillus (taxon 44249), Streptomyces (taxon 1883), Flavobacterium (taxon 237)

## Full-text entities
