## TL;DR

This paper presents the draft genome sequence of a Staphylococcus equorum strain from a healthy individual in India.

## Contribution

The study provides a new draft genome sequence of Staphylococcus equorum strain P30 from a fermented food-consuming human.

## Key findings

- The genome is 2,728,812 bp with 57 contigs and a 33% G+C content.
- Multiple antimicrobial resistance genes were identified in the genome.

## Abstract

We report here the draft genome sequence of Staphylococcus equorum strain P30, isolated from the feces of a fermented food-consuming healthy volunteer from Sikkim, India. The genome has 2,728,812 bp spread among 57 contigs, with a G+C content of 33%, and contains multiple genes for antimicrobial resistance.
