## TL;DR

The study examines the long-term health effects and disability burden following dengue infection over two years in Singapore.

## Contribution

It quantifies the risks and disability burden of postacute dengue complications in an endemic region.

## Key findings

- Dengue infection is associated with significant long-term health complications.
- The study estimates disability-adjusted life-year burden from postacute dengue sequelae.
- Findings highlight the multisystem impact of dengue beyond acute illness.

## Abstract

This cohort study estimates the 2-year risks, rates, and disability-adjusted life-year burden of postacute, multisystem sequelae of dengue infection in Singapore, where dengue is endemic with recurrent outbreaks.
