TL;DR
The study compares reproductive care experiences of immigrant and non-immigrant women with IBD, highlighting communication and access barriers for immigrants.
Contribution
The study identifies specific gaps in perinatal care for immigrant women with IBD to support culturally appropriate care development.
Findings
Immigrant women with IBD were less likely to discuss family planning with their GI doctor compared to non-immigrants.
Immigrant women faced communication challenges and limited access to formal translation materials.
Immigrant women were less confident in their reproductive care and experienced reduced specialist access.
