## TL;DR

This paper reports the genome sequence of a specific Acanthamoeba comandoni strain, which is a free-living protist found in various environments.

## Contribution

The study provides a new genome assembly for Acanthamoeba comandoni strain Pb30/40.

## Key findings

- The genome assembly has a total sequence length of 82.3 Mb.
- This strain belongs to morphological group I of Acanthamoeba.

## Abstract

The free-living protist Acanthamoeba inhabits aquatic and soil environments, feeding on bacteria, algae, and fungi. It acts both as an opportunistic pathogen and a host or vector for pathogenic bacteria. This study presents a novel genome assembly of the Acanthamoeba comandoni strain Pb30/40, comprising a sequence length of 82.3 Mb.
