## TL;DR

This paper presents draft genomes of three Lactococcus lactis strains from sourdough, each containing multiple bacteriocin gene clusters, including nisin Z.

## Contribution

The novelty lies in identifying multiple bacteriocin gene clusters, including nisin Z, in Lactococcus lactis strains from sourdough.

## Key findings

- Three Lactococcus lactis strains from sourdough contain multiple bacteriocin gene clusters.
- All three strains share a gene cluster encoding nisin Z.

## Abstract

We report on the draft genome sequences of Lactococcus lactis strains A4_4, C1_19, and C8_26 isolated from sourdough. The strains were found to harbor multiple bacteriocin gene clusters, where one encoding nisin Z was found in all three strains.
