## TL;DR

This paper reports the draft genomes of 19 Psychrobacter bacteria from Atlantic salmon that survived cold winter stress in Canada.

## Contribution

The study provides new draft genome sequences of Psychrobacter isolates from salmon surviving cold stress.

## Key findings

- Draft genomes of 19 Psychrobacter spp. were sequenced from Atlantic salmon in Atlantic Canada.
- The salmon survived winter cold stress with or without showing clinical symptoms.

## Abstract

We present the draft genome sequences of 19 Psychrobacter spp. isolated from the skin of Atlantic salmon raised in flow-through systems in Atlantic Canada. All of these salmon survived winter cold stress with or without clinical symptoms (lesions).
