## TL;DR

This study shows that using platelet-rich fibrin after wisdom tooth removal helps reduce pain and swelling and improves early healing.

## Contribution

The study provides empirical evidence for PRF's effectiveness in enhancing recovery after impacted molar extractions.

## Key findings

- PRF significantly reduced postoperative pain and swelling.
- PRF promoted better early bone healing after surgery.
- Benefits of PRF plateaued after 6 months.

## Abstract

The effect of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in improving healing post-impacted mandibular third molar extractions is of interest. Hence,
a randomized trial was conducted with 30 patients, comparing outcomes between those treated with PRF and those without. The results
demonstrated that PRF significantly reduced pain and swelling and promoted better bone healing, particularly in the early postoperative
period. Although benefits plateaued at 6 months, PRF remains a promising adjunct for enhancing recovery in oral surgery.
