## Abstract

A dental awareness, knowledge and oral hygiene practice among 77 pregnant and 77 non-pregnant women in Chhattisgarh is of interest. A
significant lack of awareness was observed, with 100% of non-pregnant and 96.1% of pregnant women not prioritizing routine dental visits
and only 3.9% of pregnant women aware of the link between oral health and pregnancy outcomes. Thus, data shows an urgent need to promote
oral hygiene and dental care during pregnancy to reduce risks such as preterm birth and low birth weight.
