Abstract
Background/Objectives: Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of β-lactams (BL), BL/β-lactamase inhibitor (BLI) combinations (BL/BLIc), and of fosfomycin may play a key role in optimizing antimicrobial therapy and in preventing resistance development, especially when used by continuous infusion in critically ill or immunocompromised patients. Unfortunately, analytical methods for simultaneously quantifying multiple BL/BLIc in plasma are still lacking.
