Nichole Cufino, Tania S Flink, Carlos Lamoutte

TL;DR
A woman with bipolar disorder developed severe preeclampsia and unusual brain symptoms, including auditory hallucinations, highlighting the need for careful monitoring during pregnancy.
Contribution
This case study presents a rare combination of preeclampsia, PRES, and auditory hallucinations in a patient with bipolar disorder.
Findings
The patient exhibited atypical PRES with brainstem and temporal lobe involvement.
Auditory hallucinations occurred alongside severe preeclampsia and bipolar disorder.
Uncontrolled hypertension and lack of prenatal care contributed to adverse outcomes.
