## TL;DR

This paper presents the genome sequence of the leafhopper Allygidius commutatus, including two haplotypes and a mitochondrial genome, as part of a larger project to sequence species in Britain and Ireland.

## Contribution

The paper provides a high-quality reference genome for Allygidius commutatus, including chromosomal pseudomolecules and mitochondrial DNA.

## Key findings

- The genome assembly includes two haplotypes with lengths of 1,796.07 and 1,786.69 megabases.
- Haplotype 1 is mostly scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X chromosome.
- The mitochondrial genome is 17.75 kilobases long and has been fully assembled.

## Abstract

We present a genome assembly from an individual female
Allygidius commutatus (leafhopper; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hemiptera; Cicadellidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 796.07 megabases and 1 786.69 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (98.96%) is scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 17.75 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
