TL;DR
This paper presents the draft genome of a drug-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae strain from a pet bird in Bangladesh.
Contribution
The study provides a new genome sequence of a multidrug-resistant K. pneumoniae strain from an ornamental bird.
Findings
The genome includes 24 predicted antimicrobial resistance genes.
The strain contains 10 predicted virulence factor genes.
The genome was isolated from a fecal sample of an ornamental bird in Bangladesh.
Abstract
We report the draft genome sequence of a Klebsiella pneumoniae strain MTR-Kp-OBF01, isolated from a fecal sample of an ornamental bird from a local pet bird shop in Mymensingh city, with a total length of 4,854,485 bp, 1 plasmid, 24 predicted antimicrobial resistance genes, and 10 predicted virulence factor genes.
Genes, proteins, chemicals, diseases, species, mutations and cell lines named across the full text — each resolved to its canonical identifier and authoritative record.
