## TL;DR

This paper presents draft genome sequences of two strains of the fungus Beauveria bassiana from Taiwan, using a hybrid assembly method.

## Contribution

The novelty lies in providing new draft genomes for two B. bassiana strains isolated in Taiwan.

## Key findings

- The Bb-NCHU-143 strain has a 34.21 Mb genome with 7,994 predicted genes.
- The Bb-NCHU-153 strain has a 34.20 Mb genome with 7,151 predicted genes.

## Abstract

We report the draft genome sequences of two Beauveria bassiana strains, Bb-NCHU-143 and Bb-NCHU-153, isolated from mycosed coleopteran (beetles) in Taiwan. Genome assemblies were generated using a hybrid genome assembly approach. The draft genomes of Bb-NCHU-143 and Bb-NCHU-153 are 34.21 Mb (7,994 genes) and 34.20 Mb (7,151 genes), respectively.
