## TL;DR

This paper presents the genome sequence of a drug-resistant bacteria found in wastewater in Wyoming, revealing genes linked to antibiotic resistance and virulence.

## Contribution

The study provides a new genomic resource for a multidrug-resistant Raoultella ornithinolytica strain and identifies resistance and virulence genes.

## Key findings

- The genome contains antibiotic resistance genes including blaCTX-M-15, blaOXA-1, and blaTEM-1.
- Multiple virulence factors were identified in the Raoultella ornithinolytica strain w67 genome.

## Abstract

We report the whole-genome sequence of the multidrug-resistant Raoultella ornithinolytica strain w67, isolated from wastewater influent in Laramie, Wyoming, USA. The genome harbors blaCTX-M-15, blaOXA-1,blaTEM-1, along with additional antibiotic resistance genes and multiple virulence factors, offering genomic insights into the resistance mechanisms and pathogenic potential.
