TL;DR
A national stroke campaign improved stroke knowledge and symptom recognition, but the effect was weaker among people with lower education.
Contribution
This study reveals educational disparities in stroke awareness following a national campaign, suggesting a need for targeted messaging.
Findings
Campaign recall was associated with increased stroke knowledge and symptom recognition.
Individuals with a master’s degree had higher odds of recognizing stroke symptoms compared to those with vocational education.
The campaign's impact on stroke awareness varied by educational level.
