Lauren McDaniel, Elizabeth Nowak, Mandy Swann, Ryan Fulton, Nicholas Stornelli, Nathan Everson, Anthony Baffoe-Bonnie

TL;DR
A dashboard was created to help clinicians track and improve outpatient antibiotic prescribing, but more engagement strategies are needed.
Contribution
A clinician-facing dashboard was developed and implemented to provide personalized antibiotic prescribing feedback in outpatient settings.
Findings
The dashboard allowed providers to compare their prescribing rates to specialty aggregates with customizable filters.
Dashboard website views exceeded individual clinician dashboard clicks, indicating limited direct engagement.
Early feedback led to refinements like expanding diagnosis code categories for better prescribing context.
Abstract
Tracking and Reporting are Core Elements of effective outpatient antimicrobial stewardship, as outlined by the CDC. While clinician-level feedback is ideal, it is often difficult to operationalize. We developed and implemented the Antimicrobial Footprint, a clinician-facing dashboard, to provide individualized antibiotic prescribing feedback and identify opportunities for prescribing optimization across a large health system.Figure 1.Example of the Antimicrobial Footprint DashboardFigure 2.Views to the dashboard website vs. provider clicks into their individualized footprint dashboard Example of the Antimicrobial Footprint Dashboard Views to the dashboard website vs. provider clicks into their individualized footprint dashboard The dashboard data consisted of ambulatory encounters, including virtual, telephonic and in-person visits.
