Abstract
Blood‐based biomarkers (BBMs) are emerging as promising tools for the biological diagnosis of dementia. However, studies examining the clinical relevance of BBMs in Asian populations remain limited. This study aimed to explore the impact of plasma phosphorylated tau (pTau) and neurofilament light chain (NfL) on clinical diagnosis and management decisions in a memory clinic cohort in Taiwan. Patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or dementia, with diagnostic confidence below 80%, were recruited from the National Taiwan University Hospital memory clinic between November 2023 and July 2024, prior to the clinical availability of anti‐amyloid monoclonal antibodies in Taiwan.
