Healthy Aging Project - Brain (HAP-B): A Psychoeducation Group for Dementia Prevention and Age-Friendly Healthcare
Emily Trittschuh

TL;DR
The HAP-B program helps older adults improve brain health through education and activities, leading to better life satisfaction and well-being.
Contribution
HAP-B introduces a feasible, patient-centered psychoeducation program for dementia prevention in older adults.
Findings
Participants reported improved life satisfaction, emotional well-being, and energy levels after the intervention.
Higher life satisfaction was linked to lower depressive symptoms and higher self-efficacy.
CVT delivery of HAP-B was as effective as in-person, though lower completion rates were observed during the pandemic.
