TL;DR
Aging care professionals see research as relevant but feel unprepared to use it in practice, highlighting the need for better support and training.
Contribution
The study identifies factors influencing aging care professionals' perception of research relevance and readiness to implement it.
Findings
ACP rated research relevance high (M=4.4), with relevance linked to ethnicity, desire to learn, and research access.
Readiness to implement research was low (M=2.8), hindered by agency demographics and lack of team support.
Professional development and access improvements are needed to bridge the gap between research and practice.
Abstract
Integration of evidence-based programming is central to aging care policy and practice, yet little is known about aging care professionals’ (ACPs) receptivity to research.
