Abstract
Legal and financial planning pose significant challenges for family caregivers of persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) and can lead to increased financial risk and strain. To address this, we created the CareVirtue Planner, a web-based, personalized legal and financial planning tool for ADRD caregivers. In this study, 88 ADRD caregivers completed a 3-month field test of the Planner, during which they received personalized legal and financial planning education recommendations. Participants completed semi-structured post-use interviews to share their experience of using the Planner and recommend improvements.
