TL;DR
This study shows that a dementia caregiver support program, REACH-TX, delivered by a community-based organization, significantly improved caregivers' preparedness and confidence.
Contribution
The study demonstrates the successful real-world implementation of REACH-TX by a CBO, highlighting its effectiveness and scalability.
Findings
PCGS scores increased significantly from 2.1 to 2.8 after the REACH-TX program.
75% of caregivers showed improved PCGS scores, and 54% reported higher confidence in handling challenging behaviors.
