Erin Kube, Michelle Mlinac, Lisa Lind, Dolores Gallagher Thompson, Tonita Wroolie

TL;DR
This paper discusses efforts to increase geropsychology board certification by creating a post-licensure consultation program for psychologists.
Contribution
The novel contribution is the development of a year-long consultation program to help licensed psychologists specialize in geropsychology.
Findings
A needs assessment revealed gaps in education and training for geropsychology certification.
A consultation program is proposed to address barriers faced by post-licensure psychologists.
The program could serve as a model for other gerontological professions.
