Derek Falk, Elizabeth Vásquez, Anna Bokun, Christian Vazquez, Sunshine Rote

TL;DR
Alzheimer's caregivers face higher stress and financial strain compared to other caregivers, especially those who are female or food insecure.
Contribution
This study compares stress levels in Alzheimer’s caregivers to other caregivers and identifies key social determinants of health contributing to stress.
Findings
ADRD caregivers are more likely to be over 55 and female compared to caregivers of other chronic conditions.
Food insecurity and financial strain significantly increase the odds of caregiver stress.
Caregiving for someone with ADRD is associated with higher stress levels compared to other caregiving roles.
