## TL;DR

This paper provides the genome sequence of the Orange Sallow moth, including chromosomal scaffolds and gene annotations.

## Contribution

The study presents a high-quality genome assembly and gene annotation for Tiliacea citrago, including sex chromosomes and mitochondrial DNA.

## Key findings

- The genome assembly is 800.96 megabases long, with 98.57% scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules.
- Gene annotation identified 13,275 protein-coding genes using Ensembl.
- The mitochondrial genome is 15.37 kilobases in length.

## Abstract

We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of
Tiliacea citrago (Orange Sallow; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Noctuidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 800.96 megabases. Most of the assembly (98.57%) is scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.37 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 13,275 protein-coding genes.
