Zoe Edwards, Michael Tatterton

TL;DR
This study explores what makes primary care staff in the UK more or less likely to participate in healthcare research.
Contribution
The paper identifies key barriers and facilitators to research participation among primary care staff in a specific UK region.
Findings
The largest facilitator for research was the belief that it would benefit patients.
The main barrier was the inability to fit extra work into already busy schedules.
Staff who were on educational courses were more likely to be research active.
