TL;DR
This paper uses game theory to explore how cultural and economic factors influence romantic relationships and family structures.
Contribution
The novel contribution is applying a rational choice model with empathy coefficients and cultural factors to analyze romantic relationship stability.
Findings
Family stability in the past was supported by oppressive patriarchal structures rather than stronger values.
A rational choice model incorporating empathy and cultural identities helps explain relationship dynamics.
Simulation reveals insights into how assumptions about love and rationality affect family structures.

We introduce a rational choice model from game theory to analyze stability patterns in romantic relationships, focusing on empathy coefficients and cultural factors. This model investigates the role of economic altruism theory and cultural identities in shaping empathy and their impact on relationships. The study also explores…
