TL;DR
This study explores low physical activity levels and patient perceptions in knee osteoarthritis patients in Saudi Arabia, identifying barriers and facilitators to treatment engagement.
Contribution
The study provides novel insights into physical activity and patient perceptions in knee osteoarthritis within a Middle Eastern context.
Findings
90% of participants had low physical activity levels (≤600 MET-min/week).
Barriers included emotional distress, logistical difficulties, and misconceptions about KOA.
Facilitators to physical activity included family support and patient education.
