## TL;DR

This paper reports the genome sequences of two Thioalkalivibrio sulfidiphilus strains used in a biodesulfurization process.

## Contribution

The study provides new genome data for two strains involved in haloalkaline biodesulfurization.

## Key findings

- The genomes include genes for Flavocytochrome c sulfide dehydrogenase and SoxAX cytochromes.
- These genes are crucial for respiration and thiosulfate oxidation in the biodesulfurization process.

## Abstract

The genome sequences of two Thioalkalivibrio sulfidiphilus strains, SGAR-7 and SGAR-13, isolated from a pilot-scale haloalkaline biodesulfurization (BD) installation, are reported. The genomes comprise Flavocytochrome c sulfide dehydrogenase and SoxAX cytochromes, which are essential for respiration and thiosulfate oxidation, offering insights into Thioalkalivibrio’s role in BD.
