## TL;DR

This case report discusses a rare skin condition in a surviving twin after the other twin died during pregnancy.

## Contribution

The paper highlights a rare complication of monochorionic twin pregnancies involving aplasia cutis congenita.

## Key findings

- Aplasia cutis congenita can occur in the surviving twin after fetal demise in monochorionic pregnancies.
- Reporting such cases may help improve prenatal detection rates globally.

## Abstract

Aplasia cutis congenita is a rare congenital malformation that may also occur as a complication of single fetal demise in a monochorionic twin pregnancy. Reporting such cases may improve prenatal detection rates in similar cases worldwide.
